Transsolar Academy 2022/23 starts program at NUST

On Oktober 14th Mariana Liebman-Pelaez and Felix Thumm held the first lecture on climate-responsive design at the NUST Faculty of Architecture in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. This is the first online course of a total of 6 lectures and marks the beginning of a collaboration between Transsolar Academy and the University.
The lectures held by engineers working in different offices at Transsolar contribute and complement the university's sustainable building course. Approximately 90 students in Zimbabwe will benefit. Inncocent Mhandu, a Transolar Academy alumni 2017, is initiator of the collaboration with NUST.

To point out the urgency of sustainable building design Felix introduced the MCC Carbon Clock. It shows how much CO2 can be released into the atmosphere to limit global warming to a maximum of +1.5°C (34.7°F) and +2°C (35.6°F), respectively. With just one click, you can compare the estimates for both temperature targets and see how much time is left in each scenario.
