Pan Pacific Orchard crowned World's Best New Skyscraper

Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore designed by WOHA architects wins big! The hotel was crowned Best Tall Building Worldwide in addition to Best Tall Building, by Height, 100-199 meter and Space Within, awarded by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).

The design concept—Hotel in Nature—seamlessly extends nature skywards with integrated gardens and landscaped cores, achieving a green plot ratio of more than 300 percent. The urban-scale sky terraces, organized around a 6-story guestroom block incorporate elevated green spaces and amenity activities, with direct access to gardens, daylight, fresh air, and social spaces.

Outdoor Comfort is No Accident -
Transsolar crafted a conceptual framework for enhancing the outdoor comfort of all open terraces and the expansive open lobby and entrance area.

A second project was chosen as a winner; The Boston University Center for Computing & Data Sciences won Best Tall Building, by Region, Americas.
